Virgin Radio International is led by one of the longest serving and most experienced management teams in the Virgin Group. Ian Grace and Mark Fisher joined the Virgin Group in the 1990s and have driven the growth of Virgin Radio International since it first started launching radio stations in South East Asia in the early 2000s.
Ian Grace – President
Ian has over 30 years’ experience in commercial radio and has been particularly responsible for the development of Virgin’s distinctive and highly successful contemporary music based radio programming. His approach to programming with its focus on detailed market analysis and audience research, the highest standards of production, innovative listener engagement and the nurturing of the hottest new talent has led to Virgin Radio International building market leading radio stations in South and South East Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America in multiple languages and formats. Ian has worked for radio stations in five continents including as program director and later CEO of Australia’s Triple M radio network. In 1993, Ian established his own consulting business and built a global network of clients principal amongst which was the Virgin Group. During the 1990s, Ian was a key programming adviser to Virgin Radio UK.
Mark Fisher – Chief Operating Officer
Mark has almost 20 years’ experience in the media industry and has been particularly responsible for Virgin Radio International’s corporate development including building long term partnerships with leading media groups globally. Mark was Chief Financial Officer of Virgin Radio International’s predecessor Virgin Radio Asia helping establish the company’s initial operations in Asia. Mark’s other roles for Virgin include as Corporate Development Director of Virgin Media Group and as board director of numerous operating and investment holding companies in several jurisdictions. Prior to joining Virgin, Mark worked as a corporate finance consultant for an international strategy and management consulting firm and in several roles at high levels of government. Mark has a BA and MA from Oxford University.
Ian and Mark are supported by a team combining exceptional experience in commercial radio and corporate development with a broad international coverage that enables Virgin Radio International to develop radio opportunities in any part of the World.
Geoff Holland – Group Program Director
Geoff oversees programming at Virgin Radio International’s stations in France, Turkey and Lebanon. He has over 25 years’ commercial radio experience in some of the world’s largest markets. His prior experience includes the Triple M in Australia, KROQ in Los Angeles, Virgin Radio UK and MTV.
Wayne Mack – Chief Representative (USA)
Wayne is responsible for developing opportunities to launch new Virgin Radio stations in the USA. He is highly experienced at identifying and managing investments in the media and communications industries. His experience includes private equity, he serves on numerous boards of media companies in the USA and is a qualified lawyer.
Barbara Rounds – Representative (Latin America)
Barbara assists Virgin Radio International in developing opportunities to launch new Virgin Radio stations in Latin America. She has over 25 years’ experience of Latin American radio and is also CEO of Radio Express, a supplier of entertainment programming to radio stations outside the USA.
Jean Claude Torbey – Chief Representative (Middle East & North Africa)
Jean Claude is responsible for developing opportunities to launch new Virgin Radio stations in the Middle East and North Africa. He was formerly the Middle East and North Africa Regional Director for Virgin Megastores in which capacity he launched seven Virgin Megastores.
Lyndon Yeo – Chief Representative (East Asia)
Lyndon is responsible for developing opportunities to launch new Virgin Radio stations in East Asia. Lyndon has over 15 years’ experience in the media industry largely focused on Asian radio. Lyndon was formerly Head of Sales and Marketing for the radio operations of Singapore Press Holdings.
